I learned Spanish because I was ₱200k in debt and running out of options.
The account I was working on got sunset, and I lost my full-time job. I was still paying off ₱200,000 in debt, so I took on two jobs and barely slept. I knew a bilingual salary could change that, so I enrolled in a language school for ₱20,000. At the time, that was a big risk.
The school was fine, but it moved too fast for me. I'm a slow learner, and the lessons couldn't be recorded. After three months, I still couldn't compose a sentence. So I started over from the alphabet and studied on my own: repeating lessons, pausing and replaying videos, and looking up every topic until it clicked.
Three months later, I landed a Spanish bilingual job. Today I'm debt-free, I work one job instead of two, and I finally have a life outside work.
This guide is everything I wish I'd had on day one, organized so you don't have to start from scratch like I did.
